Sustainability
We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.
RESINEX, being a part of RAVAGO Group, is also a part of the Group sustainability vision.
Our ambition is to engage for a better and more sustainable world.
We recognize the intrinsic value of discarded plastics and rubbers and choose to give them a new life by transforming them once again into valuable products. By enabling this circular economy, we simultaneously reduce greenhouse gases, which helps to secure a safe and healthy planet for our next generations.
17 goals to transform our world
The United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals address the global challenges we face. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030.
RAVAGO Group believes the Sustainable Development Goals can guide all of us to a better world.
Ravago and RESINEX can be influential on the SDG’s. Companies have a crucial role to play in creating the impact needed to achieve them.
Ravago supports the SDG’s with multiple initiatives, of which the individual achievements vary depending on Ravago’s capacities:
- Community contribution, good health and well-being
- Resource efficiency
- Ethical employment, state-of-the art infrastructure and continuous innovation
- Recycling for a better world
Recycling for a better world
RAVAGO Group recycles over 300 000 MT of plastics and rubber yearly.
In EU alone, we recycle 130 000 MT of PP, PE and PS, contributing to an estimated 100 000 MT CO2 prevented from being emitted, compared to the production of virgin polymers.
Ravago and Resinex support the world-wide Operation Clean Sweep® initiative. At the end of 2017, Ravago Group, as a member of Plastics Europe signed up to this undertaking on behalf of all its subsidiaries, joining the Plastics 2030 - PlasticsEurope's Voluntary Commitment to increasing circularity and resource efficiency.
Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS)
- international program to prevent the loss of plastic granules (pellets) during handling and their release into the aquatic environment
- first set up by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) in the US, then PlasticsEurope extended the license to the program in Europe
RAVAGO Group is on a mission to reduce its carbon footprint by increasing recycling capacity, continuously improving recycling technology and investing in renewable energy.
